Then, use your pencil to add lines to create the illusion of depth. You can draw lines that look like the edges of a 3D object coming forward from the canvas.
Once you’re done with the pencil sketch of the 3D part, paint it in. You’ll need to use different colors to show the different surfaces of the 3D star. A lighter color on the parts that would be facing the light and a darker color on the parts in the shadow.
